March 22, 2007 2006 AMTA Awards The 2006 AMTA Awards were given out at the Halifax Boat Show Reception, February 15th in Halifax. Philip Stevens of Sealand Specialized Carriers Ltd received the AMTA Commitment to Service Award 2007 In recognition of the delivery of outstanding service in the Recreational Marine Industry. Philip delivers boats for Atlantic Canadian dealers and manufacturers to destinations all over North America and brings boats into the region from all over North America. Gerry Stevens of Sealand Industries accepted the award on behalf of Philip from AMTA Past President Jim Snair. Jim Snair of Sunnybrook Yachts received the AMTA PRESIDENTS AWARD for his work as Association President 2004 -2006. George Hickey of The Binnacle and an AMTA Board member presented the award.
