Halifax International Boat Show Feb 15 - 18

The Show Takes Place February 15 - 18
at Exhibition Park, Halifax Nova Scotia.

Scott Sprague of show producers, Master Promotions, reports that space sales for the show have been very strong this year. Features for the show include a historical yacht display by the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic including the newly restored David Stevens S-30 sloop Valkyrie and their brand new interactive pirate display and a children's Pirate costume contest. The Discover Boating center is back with a contest to win a summer weekend at the Oak Island Resort and Spa with a weekend sailing instruction package from Sou'West Adventures and some stylish boating accessories.

The seminar series is jam packed leading off with The Galley Guys presentation of Michele Steven's 'Cooking Aboard' followed by outrageous tales of voyaging south by well known author Silver Donald Cameron, of ocean racing by Derek Hatfield, of tall bass fishing tales by Jeff Duncan and Randy Feener of Team Mercury Atlantic and by in-depth technical information from the NSBA's technical advisor Iain Tulloch, by Fred Daoust of Interlux Yacht Paints and by Captain Andrea MacDonald along with the Office of Boating Safety. Paul Tingley, honorary Chair of the 2007 Mobility Cup will be on hand and the Insurance Bureau of Canada will treat show goers to a Lifejacket and PFD fashion show.

The IWK silent Auction of Marine Equipment and Nautical Accessories is 6:30 -8:00PM Friday evening, Feb 16 at the show.
