ECONOMIC IMPACT STUDY 2007
The Canadian Discover Boating program is set
to launch an update of the highly-successful, first-ever Economic Impact
Study of Recreational Boating, which was completed in 2003.
The study will encompass all facets of recreational boating in Canada,
as well as the economic impact recreational boating has on the tourism
industry. With the changes in world trade patterns and the shift in the
value of Canada's currency, the report promises to provide considerable
insight into the economic impact of Canada's recreational boating
industry.
Genesis Public Opinion Research Inc., author of the 2003 study, together
with Smith/Gunther Associates, has been retained to conduct the 2007
study.
Research for the new project will begin immediately, with a report
expected during the second quarter of 2007.
All members of the Canadian recreational
boating industry are urged to co-operate in this program. The key to a
successful update will be additional data supplied by our industry. All
data received will be treated
in confidence.
Your participation is essential!!
Starting August 1, 2006, an on-line survey will be conducted with wet
