AMTA INDUSTRY AWARDS

The 2006 AMTA awards were presented at the Halifax International Boat Show Exhibitor Reception on Thursday, February 16.

Bob Harrity of NorthEast Yachts was presented the AMTA INDUSTRY AWARD 2006 in recognition of a 28 year contribution to the Recreational Marine Industry in Atlantic Canada. The award was presented by Sandy MacMillan of North Sails Atlantic

Dave Trott of Seamasters Services Ltd was presented the AMTA Commitment to Service Award 2006 in recognition of the delivery of outstanding service in the Recreational Marine Industry . The award was presented by Jim Snair of Sunnybrook Yachts and President of AMTA

John Stuart of New Wave Power Products was presented the AMTA 'Making the Industry Better' Award 2006
In recognition of effort to further the Recreational Boating Industry. The award was presented by Arthur McNeil of Mercury Marine Canada

A presentation and thanks was made by Elizabeth Smith of the IWK Telethon for Children to Halifax International Boat Show Chair Stuart McLea, recognizing the support over the past six years of The Halifax Boat Show's Annual Silent Auction of Marine Equipment and Nautical Accessories with all proceeds going to the Telethon. Donations to the IWK Telethon support priority equipment purchases, fund leading edge research & education or provide support services to patients and their families served by the IWK Health Centre.
