The Halifax International Boat Show is the largest boat show
in Eastern Canada. Exhibited boats range in size from 6' to over 30'
and include runabouts, cruisers, motor yachts, sail boats, sailing
dinghies, pontoon boats, bass boats, inflatables, RIBS, canoes,
kayaks, and personal water craft.
There are exhibits of marine equipment,
marine engines, diesel, gas, outboard and inboard, of marine
electronics and marine accessories, of docks and dock builders. The
show is a place for boaters to SHOP! Marine chandleries bring their
stores to this show, and there are great deals as well as all the
latest gear backed up by product manufacturers and distributors. The
Show is a great time to buy a boat as Dealers and Manufacturers
offer great show specials.

Centre is simple – to help people become boaters. No matter what
your level of involvement in boating, there is something for
everyone to see, learn and enjoy. If you are planning to buy your

Or, if you have been boating for some time, you may be looking for
information on moving up in size, buying new for the first time
after buying pre-owned in the past or perhaps getting into a new
type of boating altogether. Want to know about boating courses,
safety information, boat financing? All your boating questions can
be answered at the Discover Boating Centre.

Did you know that Boaters in Canada
need to have their Pleasure Craft Operators Card if they are
operating a power boat under 4 metres? Boaters born after April 1,
1983 need to have the card to operate any size power boat. All
Boaters in Canada operating power boats need to have their card by
2009.
